نور و ظلام
from dawn to dusk
What started as an investigation into the unique experience of Ramadan in Kuwait, became a narrative about a day guided by light and darkness. As a part of the notion of Ramadan, a month that is heavily centered around the moon, I started my photographic journey into what became this project. In Ramadan, the split between day and night is significantly emphasized, because once the sun sets partakers break their fasts. In Kuwait, this is especially more noteworthy because of how religion is very intertwined with the government. I began to observe the juxtaposition between light and dark, and that is what led me to indulge in the concept:
From Dawn to Dusk: نور و ظلام (light & dark).
